More Light and Love Chapter 4: Surrender

It is well documented that stress kills. It puts a strain on every part of the body, sacks the immune system, and kicks around the emotions.

We are stressed out a lot. The worst part is it seems like there is no way to stop it. This makes us feel like our lives are out of control.

To compound the situation, this loss of control adds more stress. Furthermore, in case we weren’t doing enough damage to ourselves alone, the whole world lately seems to be out of control. It’s no wonder we feel so terrible.

Well, I have a suggestion that could help.

There is a boatload of stuff in our lives that we cannot control. We have little to no say in the policies of governments or the decisions made by businesses. We cannot control the words or actions of other people.

We must stop stressing about the things we cannot fix and focus on the one thing we can control: ourselves.

You can choose how you respond to the world and it’s craziness. You can in any given moment, choose a way of thinking that will not only spare you the stress, but give you some confidence and peace in a world of chaos.

This is the choice of surrender. Surrender is not about giving up; it’s about getting out of the way.

Take a deep breath and relax. You have the God-given intelligence and instincts that will get you through anything. When you relax, and have a little faith, you surround yourself with positive energy that will attract the solutions you’ve been searching for.

Let go of all the grasping and freaking out. I know it’s not as easy as it sounds, but imagine how much better you would feel if you could just let go of all that fear. You don’t need to be in complete control.

Just. Let. Go.

Be safe.

Be whole.

Be happy.

I Love you all.
